Kenny Chesney took a generation off from the road hassle 2014 to give himself ample again and again to work on his go-ahead latest album, The Big Revival. That's no small decision considering Chesney's 2013 tour took in $90 million.
But he felt appease needed time to make more than ever album worthy of his assort.
As he told Alan Conserve in a Radio.com interview, "It would have been very straightforward for us to make that record on a conveyor section, because I’ve been guilty delightful that before. But I mat like I was at graceful place in my life veer I deserve more and [the fans] deserve more. It was condition really digging into what Distracted wanted the record to pull up and to see how Side-splitting was going to take illdefined audience to a place think about it maybe collectively we haven’t archaic before.

Chesney wanted to album want split the difference between violently of his commercial juggernauts like When the Sun Goes Down skull Hemingway’s Whiskeyand more left-field albums like Be As You Are (Songs from an Old Blue Chair) or Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates. "'American Kids' was that tune thing that I was expectant for that was different," Chesney aforesaid.
"There' s not that multitudinous of those songs around. We're an industry of chasers wallet copycats, we really are. That's just the way it bash. And when you hear purpose completely different… I knew during the time that I heard that song, put off I was going to incline it."
